The product is manufactured by depositing pure tantalum compliant with YY/T 0966-2014 onto a reticulated vitreous carbon scaffold via chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process, and it features a porous structure. Supplied in a sterile state after irradiation sterilization, it has a 5-year shelf life.
Scope of Application
It is indicated for the structural filling of Paprosky type Ⅱ and Ⅲ bone defects in hip revision arthroplasty.
Product Features
★ Rough trabecular surface delivers initial stability for the implant
★ Highly interconnected porous structure provides unobstructed pathways for bone ingrowth
★ Available in four thickness specifications (10/15/20/30 mm) to meet the needs of patients with varying degrees of acetabular bone defects
Product Advantages
• Its porous trabecular structure, similar to human cancellous bone, provides channels for osteocyte growth, accelerates new bone formation, and achieves firm integration between the implant and autologous bone.
• Its elastic modulus is close to that of cancellous bone, which reduces stress shielding and improves the quality of newly formed bone.
• The high friction coefficient delivers excellent initial stability for the implant.
• The excellent biocompatibility of tantalum metal reduces the occurrence of adverse reactions.
