Femoral head reconstruction rod

This product is fabricated by depositing tantalum metal compliant with YY/T 0966 onto a reticulated vitreous carbon scaffold via chemical vapor deposition (CVD). It features a porous structure, comes in a sterile package, is sterilized by irradiation, and has a 5-year sterilization validity period.

Scope of Application

It is indicated for adult patients with Steinberg/ARCO stage I to II osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) without femoral head collapse who are candidates for core decompression of the femoral head.

Product Features

★ Provides mechanical support for the subchondral bone of the femoral head and delays femoral head collapse.

★ The elastic modulus of CVD porous tantalum matches that of the host bone, reducing stress shielding and facilitating bone remodeling.

★ With a pore connectivity rate >99% and porosity of 65%–85%, it offers unobstructed channels for bone ingrowth, achieving superior bone fusion rate and osteointegration effect.

Product Advantages

• Rough trabecular surface provides initial implant stability.

• Hemispherical tip resists pressure, supports the subchondral bone plate, and offers mechanical support for the femoral head’s subchondral bone.

• Highly interconnected porous structure enables unobstructed channels for bone ingrowth (pore connectivity rate >99%, porosity up to 65%–85%).

• Instrument grip design at the tail; the threaded end achieves physical fixation with bone, enhancing initial stability.
